The Theater .. Wizard of Oz in Middle School

The traveling red truck of the Missoula Children's Theatre came to town and my sweet daughter was in an adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz" last week. With MCT, they swing into town Sunday night, hold auditions after school on Monday of local elementary and middle schoolers. Then, EVERY NIGHT for a full week, they have practices from 4:00 to 8:30 pm, final dress rehersal Saturday morning, followed by TWO performances Saturday for family and friends. Then they pack up and move to the next town.

It was great! The kids did such a wonderful job and I love how the company made a place for everyone, from the youngest "Evil Magic Flowers" all the way to famous "Four Friends". T was a "Magician" and really had so much fun. I think the hectic week was worth all the memories.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, I hope we do the Wizard of Oz this year! I love Missoula Children's theatre, the girls have been a part of it for the past 3 years! How fun for your family and isn't it amazing how quick they teach kids the show?
