It's Done
I'm so happy to report that I finished my Skipping Stones Circular Afghan, in record time! This is a gift for my daughter's very special bible study leader, Debbie. She's been amazing to Tess, especially these past few months while Mike's foot was broken. Debbie spent several hours taking Tess driving, and helped her get her license using Debbie's van (all ours are stick-shift). I started this last week, worked on it during retreat, and finished it a few nights ago. However, I spent WAY more than I planned due to my yarn substitution. I used Lions Brand Woolease Thick and Quick and it ended up taking 17 skeins! At $6 a skein, I really hope she likes it!! I'd like to make another one, using the suggested Chunky/5 yarn rather than the Bulky/6 and we'll see just how many skeins it SHOULD have taken. =)
My newest WIP is the Adult Jiffy Cardigan that my Crochet-a-Long group is doing. I'm using this funky Rainbow Sensations, trying to decide if I love it or not. It's very soft and lime green is "in" right now .... we'll see.
My mother-in-love, Karen, has her birthday next week and I'm just finishing the CAL Chanson en Crochet Capelet in kid mohair/merino from LYS. The lavendar and softness of the pattern just suits her.

I like the blanket but cannot find the pattern online anymore. Would you email it to me at jaimee.keck@welchallyn.com? I would like to make it for my daughter.
Thanks,
Jaimee
