Baking Gals - Sign Up NOW

Here are some pictures from the last Round (and still blurry from a cell phone - sorry). We made it a family baking day with me, my husband and 10-yo daughter baking our hearts out.

This first picture is of cookies that we determined too fragile to ship - Chocolate-Cherry Bar Cookies with Hazelnuts. Quite delicious! The recipe is from America's Test Kitchen.

For our box, we made Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter cookies, and Chocolate Chip Biscotti - about 10 dozen total.

My Bucket List

If you didn't know, The Bucket List was a movie from early '08 starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman all about things you want to do before you "kick the bucket" or pass away. I think my list will keep changing, but I've got a few to get started:

XX Own a home again
XX Visit Hawaii
Go back to Germany for a long visit (I had hoped to do this for our 25th wedding anniversary in 8/2010 but funds didn't work out)
Go on a cruise
Be at a healthy weight
Not "have" to work
Be employed in ministry
Travel to Israel, Jerusalem and Bethlehem
Have a presentable house 90% of the time (I'm a big time clutter bug)
XX Meet (even from afar) my birth family (I've resisted trying to find them for years but I think I really would like to know)
See all my kids graduate college
Graduate college myself
XX Have grandchildren
Visit Washington DC, New York City, Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty

I see that I have a real need to win the lottery and live for at least another 45 years!
