Thank You Jill - Pincushion Swap Package

Jill hosted a Crafty Bits Swap Spot Pincushion Swap and she was my partner. I was blessed with this stupendous package!!

I mentioned that I love Russian Nesting Dolls and look what she crafted, just for me!  This pincushion is so delightfully sweet that I can't stand it.  Plus she crafted this sweet tin to match and it's filled with buttons.  She sent me HOMEMADE zucchini relish with a tag full of good ideas on how to use it, knitted dishcloths (which are the BEST), embroidery thread, an adorable strawberry patch, fancy straight pins and the most perfect notecard set.  WOW -- I'm one lucky gal.

And repentant - I'm late with my own box out but will post photos once she's received it.  I hope I make her smile as much as I have been!

Check Out These Aprons!!

Swap-bot swap: Apron Lovers Swap - Forest Friends

I hosted a Forest Friends Apron Swap on Swap-bot last month.

Kat was randomly assigned to me and she sent me the MOST amazing package!! Look at this adorable owl apron - isn't the detail amazing?!? I have found myself wearing this over and over in the weeks since I've received it.

Then, she tucked in the gorgeous frame with the sweet "lovebirds" inside. You may remember that Kat sent me THIS lovebird apron in a different swap recently - this is a little inside joke/nod to one of my facebook profile picture of my hubby and I. =)

She also MADE me this heavenly candle!

This is the apron I crafted for Tammy. I used my friend Lucy's The Sassy Apron pattern, and this adorable Woodland Friends fabric. I LOVE hedgehogs! And aren't the polka dots so cute with the toadstools (if I say so myself)?!?

Side two is a little more subdued.

Then this last apron I made for Val's Year of the Enchantment Swap for Sandy. The theme for the month is "Owls" but Sandy loves Halloween so it's a bit more spooky than I would have made normally. This apron is my own creation, inspired by several aprons I've seen online lately.

I really like this owl-ish print for the ruffle - I found it at Fabric Depot, on sale even.

Flirty Apron SCORE!

Dear Glenda was my Fall Flirty Apron Swap partner. Look at the CUTE packaging of my adorable fall/Halloween apron

My sweet daughter modeled for me!! I LOVE it all - the bright colors of the apron and cute cupcakes embellished for Halloween. She did such a great job on all that bias tape! Then she just stuffed my full of goodness -- a yummy candle, two holiday potholders and a special kitchen towel, a cute sign for my growing collection and -BONUS- a Mary Engelbreit mini-calendar for next year. THANK YOU -- Glenda, you really know my likes so well!!

Here's a little peek at the package I pulled together for my partner ....

I can only show one side of the apron ... side two would be a dead giveaway!

Sept YOE Thanks

Oh. My. Goodness.

Missy is SO talented and generous. I am just totally blown away by the YOE mouse package she sent, I cannot even express it. THANK YOU MISSY! She has set the bar WAY HIGH. My out of town company is leaving in the next day or two and I'll wrap up your box.

I must tell you that this apron with the hand-stitching is just the sweetest thing ever.

And the little mouse-y jewelry and magnet--- aDORable!

Then the ornament ... wow. This is only my second YOE and, wow, again.

And the crown on the mouse pincushion ... love it!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU again! YOE swappers are The Most Creative!!!

Isn't the packaging divine? This box was HEAVY!
AquaAvocadoRecd2
Everything individually wrapped.
AquaAvocadoRecd3
LOOK at these vintage casserole dishes!! Beth also sent a vintage cookbook for some yumminess to bake inside, and then the sweet aqua/red table topper for serving. LOVE IT!!

AquaAvocadoSent
Here's what I sent ... aqua colored book, candle, and lemon reamer - I love that tool! Found aqua AND avocado glass bird tealight holders - heavy and adorable. Paula Deens tags are exactly the right color combos. Aren't the green stationary supplies cute? The sweet birdcage is from the thrift store but a reproduction. My FAVORITE item is that cute little avocado-colored colander. The bouquet is just to round out the color combo. Hope Beth likes it!!

Sweet cupcake apron package from Laura's Swapbot swap:

Such a fun package!!

Rita lives in Canada and wasn't eligible to participate in Val's Hot Pinups for Hot Mamas Apron Swap, so we swapped one-on-one. We agreed on pinup aprons and then local items.

LOOK at my package. LOVE the Canada goodies (cute hockey-puck pincushion not shown). The best is MY OWN pinup diva towel. Sweet!!!

Secret Pal 15 at Ravelry... I've been SO SLOW in this swap but have LOVED participating.
This is the last package from my partner, Marylyn aka Mazzam! LOVE this soft yarn she sent AND she made me this gorgeous shawl. I'm so lucky!!

In my final package, I sent to my partner, Katie, another knitting book, a card made of seeds that can be planted (hope she likes that), and then some special yarn I had MADE for her at Yarnia, Portland's only DIY Yarn Store. It's a blend of silk, bamboo, and mohair fibers and is so soft.
