Bloggy Giveaway - Amazing Freedom Devotional

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button
I absolutely adore devotionals. They are full of little bits of encouragement, just when you need it. I've especially enjoyed those from Women of Faith.I've been attending Women of Faith conferences for eight or nine years, volunteering most years to earn my admission. Last year, I bought their conference theme devotional and then was also given one for being a hostess. So, I'd like to share with you. Please leave a comment below and include your favorite encourage bible verse or other encouraging quote. A random winning name will be chosen Saturday morning, November 1. I hope you win!!! Thanks for visiting my blog!

PS - If you'd like to be entered twice, you can leave a second comment letting me know what you think is a reasonable price to pay for a handsewn apron and/or gloves like these:
I'm going to be selling several at a local Mom Christmas Bazaar and pricing is always difficult for me! Thanks!!

Oh please enter me! I'd love to have a good women's devotional. I've never had a chance to go to WOF (have wanted to for years!), but I'm hoping that once I don't have a young baby I will be able to go (the nearest one to me is about 7 hours). Right now I'm clinging to many Bible verses (with the way things are looking for our country, and the election), but I'd say the most encouraging favorite of mine for the time being is:

"I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you." (Phil. 1:27-28)

(Oh, and I'd love to help you out with the pricing, but I'm so terrible with putting a price on things...they are beautiful though!)

  5. One of my favorite verses is Psalms 18:2:

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I would say for a full apron, approx $25 and for half aprons, around $15 :)

I don't remember the verse exactly, but it goes something like "weeping will tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning." I am reminded of it whenever I have a bad night with one of the kids. Especially when they were newborns and had their nights and days mixed up- when I was so tired all I could do was cry with them.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  46. I really like your aprons. As a food service manager who likes more variety than standard issue aprons, I'm always on the lookout for great full length (not just around the waist) aprons. Depending on how much material and time your put into them, I would go between $18 and $25. You don't want to sell yourself short, but you also want to remember that people are being more careful about how they spend their money these days. Thanks!

    Blessings,
    Carrie

For the pricing I feel your pain as I too have a hard time pricing my handmade items. I usually go search for similar items on etsy and compare prices.

My thoughts (as someone who sews and sells her own products) are these:

    Half aprons $20 - $25
    Full aprons $25 - $30
    Gloves $10-$15

Just be sure you have your base costs covered and are paying yourself enough for the work you put into it!

  50. I am a very new Christian so I don't yet have an absolute favorite scripture but in reading all the others on your comments this one seemed to speak to me the most.

Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

    Awesome!

And price on the aprons. I'm thinking maybe $15-20. I guess I would look at cost of materials and then how much time it took to make one and what you'd like to get paid per hour and set your price. Depends on your area to...I'm in rural Maine so would probably go more along the $10-15 range (depending on materials costs). Just my thoughts. Thanks for the give a way!
