I absolutely adore devotionals. They are full of little bits of encouragement, just when you need it. I've especially enjoyed those from Women of Faith.
I've been attending Women of Faith conferences for eight or nine years, volunteering most years to earn my admission. Last year, I bought their conference theme devotional and then was also given one for being a hostess. So, I'd like to share with you. Oh please enter me! I'd love to have a good women's devotional. I've never had a chance to go to WOF (have wanted to for years!), but I'm hoping that once I don't have a young baby I will be able to go (the nearest one to me is about 7 hours). Right now I'm clinging to many Bible verses (with the way things are looking for our country, and the election), but I'd say the most encouraging favorite of mine for the time being is:

ReplyDeleteI don't remember the verse exactly, but it goes something like "weeping will tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning." I am reminded of it whenever I have a bad night with one of the kids. Especially when they were newborns and had their nights and days mixed up- when I was so tired all I could do was cry with them.

I really like your aprons. As a food service manager who likes more variety than standard issue aprons, I'm always on the lookout for great full length (not just around the waist) aprons. Depending on how much material and time your put into them, I would go between $18 and $25. You don't want to sell yourself short, but you also want to remember that people are being more careful about how they spend their money these days. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteFor the pricing I feel your pain as I too have a hard time pricing my handmade items. I usually go search for similar items on etsy and compare prices.

Half aprons $20 - $25
Full aprons $25 - $30
Gloves $10-$15
Just be sure you have your base costs covered and are paying yourself enough for the work you put into it!

And price on the aprons. I'm thinking maybe $15-20. I guess I would look at cost of materials and then how much time it took to make one and what you'd like to get paid per hour and set your price. Depends on your area to...I'm in rural Maine so would probably go more along the $10-15 range (depending on materials costs). Just my thoughts. Thanks for the give a way!
